FAQs

What are the advantages of teletherapy vs. in-person?

Telehealth is as effective as sitting in an office. It offers more flexibility and convenience for those who have a busy schedule, physical limitations, transportation/commuting difficulties, or who would just be more comfortable in their natural setting. We are confident that you will receive the same care from the comfort of your home but coming into the office is an available option as well.

What is your No Show/Cancellation Policy?

At RHCC, we value your time, and therefore ensure that we are available for you during your scheduled appointment. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled, please do so as soon as possible. There is a fee for all missed appointments and appointments canceled with less than 24-hour notice. Payments for missed appointments or late cancellations are collected with the credit card on file. You may find more information about our No show/Cancellation policy in the Informed Consent.

How long/how often will we meet?

Everyone's therapy needs are different. The frequency of sessions is set based on your preference, availability, and need. The length of a session can vary based on you and your goals. During your initial visit, we will discuss your therapy goals and create a tailored plan to help you accomplish them.

When can I make an appointment?

Please use the form on this page to send a message. Include your preferred therapist, if you plan to use insurance and if you prefer in-person or virtual. You may also call, or email anytime using the information below. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm; Friday 10am-2pm. We do not accept walk-in appointments.

What can I expect at the first session?

During the first session, we will review parts of the Informed Consent with you and answer any questions you may have. The initial appointment is structured to gather information and build a therapeutic relationship. The hope is for you to get to know your therapist and for your therapist to get to know you and develop an understanding of your needs and expectations.

Do you have a Covid policy?

We have a standard policy for all air-borne illnesses when the risk is high. The policy will be enacted, when necessary, to reduce spreading any illness and could include steps such as wearing a masks and consenting to no known knowledge of exposure. These steps are taken to minimize risk and exposure to both the clients as well as the therapist. As with any illness, if you are not well, please take care of yourself first. If you feel up to it, and can safely do so, please consider switching to a virtual session.
